Contract FinePrint ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App").

Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.
• Contract text: Text you paste or upload for analysis is sent to our AI processing service. We strongly advise you NOT to include personal identifying information such as your full name, Social Security number, bank account details, signatures, or other sensitive personal data in documents you submit for analysis.
• Communications: If you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: We collect information about how you use the App, including the number of analyses performed, features accessed, and session duration.
• Device information: We may collect information about your device type, operating system version, and app version.
• Analysis history: Summaries and flag results from your contract analyses are stored to provide your history feature.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
• Process contract text through our AI analysis engine
• Manage your account and subscription
• Track usage limits for free and paid tiers
• Store your analysis history so you can reference past results
• Send you important account and service notifications
• Respond to your comments and support requests
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the App
• Comply with legal obligations

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

Contract FinePrint uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze contract text. When you submit text for analysis:

• Your contract text is transmitted to Anthropic's API servers for processing
• Anthropic processes this data under their Commercial Terms of Service, which prohibit using API data for model training
• We do not sell or share your contract text with any other third parties
• Analysis results are returned to you and stored in your account history

We also use the following services:

• Firebase (Google): For user authentication, data storage, and app infrastructure
• Google Play Billing: For processing subscription payments on Android

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud), which provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit. Your Anthropic API key and sensitive credentials are stored securely on our servers and are never transmitted to your device.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active
• Analysis history: Free tier retains 30 days, Basic tier retains 6 months, Unlimited tier retains indefinitely
• Contract text submitted for analysis: Not retained after processing is complete
• You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and personal information
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out: Opt out of non-essential communications
